Psychic Pokemon

This news file is intended to give a clearer picture of what psychic pokemon can and cannot do.

Pokemon Covered:

Fully Psychic:
Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam -- Drowzee/Hypno -- Mr. Mime

Partially Psychic:
Slowpoke/Slowbro -- Exeggcute/Exeggutor -- Starmie -- Jynx

Special case:
Lapras

Abras: Can communicate mentally with their trainers (telepathy), but only if the trainer has owned the pokemon a while. Can move itself and its trainer through Teleportation (short distances, about one OOC grid room, takes two pose rounds during RP).

Kadabras: Skills of an Abra, plus can be used as a mental mood ring/lie detector. Cannot read exact thoughts, but can read moods from a human other than its owner and can tell when a human is lying or telling the truth. Can lift up to 75 pounds through telekinesis (not a human).

Alakazams: All the skills of a Kadabra, with a greater skill at reading the minds of humans. Can pick up exact "surface" (active) thoughts, plus dig around into a human's memory (the more skilled the Alakazam, the deeper it can poke). Can lift up to a child or a small adult through telekinesis.

Drowzees: Can put humans to sleep (through its Hypnosis attack).

Hypnos: Skills of the Drowzee, plus the ability to control humans' minds (level of control depends on the experience of the pokemon).

Mr. Mimes: "Physical psychics". Able to move objects with its psychic powers (telekinesis), able to create objects out of nothing.

Slowpoke: No human-affecting powers (other than its attacks).

Slowbro: No human-affecting powers (other than its attacks).

Exeggcute: No human-affecting powers (other than its attacks).

Exeggutor: When in large groups, they can control humans. Alone they have no human-affecting powers other than their attacks.

Starmie: No human-affecting powers (other than its attacks).

Jynx: No human-affecting powers (other than its attacks).

Lapras: Can communicate mentally with humans (telepathy), though most often done only with their trainers.
