Characaters

What may and may not be applied for:

• Human characters: The majority of characters will be humans, and they can be any of the following positions:
• Trainer: Children of the age of 14 or older on their pokemon journeys, who are exploring the world and seeking to catch and train pokemon. 'But Ash was 10 when he began his pokemon journey!' True, but how many parents would want their children facing a world full of dangerous creatures at ten years of age? To make our world more true to life, we have decided to raise the age to 14, since most children of that age would have at least some common sense and be able to survive to finish their journeys. If you would like to apply for a trainer younger than this, please contact a staff member.
• PokeForce: An officer of law in the pokemon world. The face of the PokeForce in the cartoons is Officer Jenny, but there are many other officers besides. They are involved in keeping order, and they generally have a base of operations in every major city. See 'news pokeforce' for more information. NOTE: We are not currently accepting applications for PokeForce.
• Team Rocket: A team of criminals who control all the bad elements of the world. Led by the enigmatic 'Boss', they steal, extort, and murder, among other things.

You may play either a pokemon (we call the people who play Pokemon pokeplayers) or a trainer -- or both! Please note that characters from the cartoon (Ash, Misty, Brock, Jessie, James etc.) are not available for application. These are reserved to be used for plots by those running them.

Almost any pokemon may be applied for, excluding the legendary pokemon (Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, etc.) and any of the prehistoric types. Keep in mind that if you apply to play an evolved pokemon we will look at your application more closely; having or playing an evolved or rare pokemon will be more difficult than an unevolved or common pokemon. The application for rare types and evolved pokemon must be of a high standard to stand a good chance of being accepted, since rare pokemon should be exactly that - rare. Also, the maturity-level and trustworthiness of the player will be taken into account, not just the application. Please don't whine and moan at the staff; we would love to have you on our game, as soon as your application shows your roleplaying skill and knowledge of the pokemon world.

Our applications can be found here. The outside time it takes to hear back on an application is two weeks, but in reality it tends more towards 24 hours. Note: A passing application will be no less than 10Kb in *plain text*. Please do not submit an application in Word, HTML, or any other format. As with anything, if you have a question, just page a staffer and ask.
